]]> Comment on Real-life examples at Hijabs High – Hija by Raihana Akhdar http://jedwar.com/2010/04/17/real-life-examples-at-hijabs-high-hija/#comment-410 Wed, 30 Jun 2010 03:02:22 +0000 http://jedwar.com/2010/04/17/real-life-examples-at-hijabs-high-hija/#comment-410 i just want to say that, im 16 years old and i live in connecticut. im a muslimah. before my mom had me, she converted to islam and she has never looked back since, i was born Muslim and i LOvE it!! i just sometimes feel like theres hardships with the clothes. not even how our parents want us to dress but how we dont have the clothes here that we need to look presentable. im not saying that we dont, but we could use a lot more muslim fashionistas and designers. i think what you guys are doin is really beneficial because i have some muslim friends who dont even want to cover because they think that its not or cant be as pretty as the other girs. we need people to look up to and be our role models to give us confidence and support that we need. its not easy having to go to school and be the only one wearing hijab. ive always wanted to be a muslim fashion designer and make clothes for young girls my age. i just think that it will have some better effect knowing that they have other people going through the same thing. and the person that i personally love is Rabia Z. shes such an inspiration to me and i hope that one day inshaallah that i get to meet with her. but overall this site has inspired me already, and this has only been my first visit!!!! hopefully, well i know that inshaallah ill revisit. salams~~!!!
